About Us
House of Frisson is the studio practice of London-based artist Luciano Rocha, where ceramics and collage operate as vessels for message. His work extends a British lineage that traces back to Wedgwood — for whom ceramics carried social consciousness — but shifts this impulse toward the emotional and psychological.
Rather than public discourse, he works with the intimate: desire, boundaries, adult humour, and the quiet tensions that shape interior life. Each plate becomes a mirror of inner states, using contemporary collage to turn decorative surfaces into silent narratives.
House of Frisson exists in the space between the beautiful and the unsettling — where objects feel sentient, and ceramics move from the utilitarian to the atmospheric, the symbolic, the whispered message.
